About the title
Avril, a young lawyer specializing in animal rights, is ready to do whatever it takes to save her client — a repeat-offender dog — from being put down. She firmly believes in justice, but over the course of the case she encounters more and more cruelty and contempt shown by people toward animals. Yet it is this very dog that will help Avril understand a great many things.
