About the title
The film is set in 1792. Louis XVI, his wife Marie Antoinette, and their children have been arrested and, awaiting trial, imprisoned in the Temple — a fortress in Paris. Far from the splendor of Versailles, for the first time in their lives they find themselves isolated and vulnerable.
