About the title
In Argentina's Mendoza province, paleontologist Carlota has worked for many years at a remote, hard-to-reach camp. Several years ago, she reportedly discovered the fossilized remains of a griffin — the mythological half-eagle, half-lion creature — which earned her generous funding. But for a long time now she has been unable to prove the find is real, so an inspector is sent to her: young paleontology graduate Constanza, who is deeply skeptical. A clash between them is inevitable, but they will have to join forces to protect the secret of the Las Rojas mountains.
