About the title
1988. In the small village of Saint-Élie-de-Caxton, an eleven-year-old boy spends a lot of time with his grandmother. Worn down by illness, she tries to convince her grandson that Death no longer exists. She tells him the story of how, in 1927, the villagers managed to defeat Death, who had threatened them. From then on, death would only appear in legends and myths.
