About the title
The end of civilization has come. No one knows how or why. A father and his son, a fourteen-year-old boy, are among the few survivors: their existence, on stilts on the shore of a lake, comes down to a struggle to survive. Society no longer exists, and any encounter with other men is dangerous. In this regressed world, the father entrusts his thoughts to a notebook, but these words are illegible signs to his son. After the father's death, the boy decides to set out on an unknown journey in search of someone who can reveal to him the meaning of these mysterious pages. Only then will he be able to learn his father's true feelings and the past he does not know.
