About the title
One day, an abandoned baby is found on a great ocean liner. He is named Nineteen Hundred, since the year is 1900. Time passes, and the boy never once sets foot on land, believing his mother to be a breed of horse. But he has a gift for playing astonishing improvisations on the piano, which even famous musicians come to hear. Years go by this way, until the hero falls in love with a girl from the mainland.
