About the title
The great Turkic state, united by the Alliance of Three Tribes, faces the threat of collapse. Kagan Ilteris the Great, who had preserved the unity of the Turkic peoples, is killed by traitors seeking to become rulers of the new state. Ilteris Kagan's son and heir to the throne, twelve-year-old Kultegin, flees for his life. He is destined to endure many trials before he can return to his homeland.
