1927. China is in the midst of a mass extermination of communists, remembered in history as the Shanghai Massacre. These events plunge the country into a protracted civil war. Given the threat looming over Chinese communists, the USSR decides to organize a secret special operation. Soviet secret agents led by Anna Volkova must deliver a secret list of all members of the communist underground to Moscow. To this end, three couriers from the Chinese side, accompanied by three Soviet security officers, must board the Trans-Siberian Express to bring the documents to the USSR. But now dangerous Manchurian thugs and foreign spies are on their trail…
