About the title
A brave and lucky hen escapes from an industrial poultry farm and finds refuge in the yard of a run-down Greek taverna on the coast. The owner shares the establishment with his adult daughter and her hot-tempered boyfriend, a member of a gang profiting from illegal migration. Constantly getting into comic and dangerous situations, the hen befriends the local rooster, tries to start a family, and desperately fights the greedy owner to protect her eggs. In trying to protect her offspring, she becomes an unwitting witness to key moments in the relationships of the people around her.
