About the title
The body of a young girl is found on a beach in Tricity. Unusual injuries on the victim's body point to murder. The investigation is led by the ambitious and persistent prosecutor Leopold Bilski. The victim's mother, judge Helena Bogucka, also joins the investigation. All the evidence leads to one of the seaside clubs, which turns out to be connected to a woman's murder 15 years earlier. From the information gathered during the investigation and evidence concealed for years, the dark face of criminal Tricity gradually emerges. And soon Bilski's and Bogucka's discoveries begin to cause trouble for the local police.
