About the title
During an international chess tournament held on a small island, someone is killing young women. The tournament leader, Peter Sanderson, becomes the prime suspect. The police try to solve a puzzle no less complex than the games being played. Meanwhile, the killer taunts Sanderson, leaving riddles with each victim that the champion must decipher. Will the grandmaster manage to foresee the moves in this game? After all, every wrong move leads to a new murder.
