About the title
Tanya Vasilevskaya, a graduate of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, is assigned to a small school in the agro-town of Mezhrechye. The young and inexperienced teacher is appointed homeroom teacher of the 11th grade, whose former mentor unexpectedly retires. Tanya must find common ground with her students and earn the respect of her experienced colleagues.
