About the title
The Hotel Othello in Anatolia. It is run by the imposing, gray-haired Aydın, a former theater actor whose fame is long behind him. Living with him are his beautiful wife, who is devoted to charity work, and his sister, pining for the husband she recently divorced. An unprecedented snowfall cuts the hotel off from civilization, turning it into both a refuge and a stage for these three people's torments to play out.
