About the series
Joseon after a devastating war. The long-ailing king dies but returns to life as a flesh-eating undead — a fact carefully concealed by Royal Secret Councillor Cho, who regularly feeds the monarch courtiers. After a failed attempt to see his father, Crown Prince Lee Chang, risking being charged with treason, leaves the palace to meet Physician Lee, who had been treating the king. Arriving at the rural clinic where Lee practiced, the prince and his bodyguard find utter devastation and piles of corpses hidden from sunlight.
