About the title
Brooke moves to a new town with her mother and stepfather, where she has to make new friends. At school she manages to befriend a classmate, but this acquaintance leads to Brooke being kidnapped while home alone. When her mother, Shannon, learns what happened, she decides to search for her daughter on her own and face the dangerous kidnapper one-on-one.
