About the title
A historical drama about a conflict in the far north, between the Sami and Norwegian officials back in 1850–1853. When the conflict reached breaking point, it grew into a massive uprising, unprecedented for the northern Norwegian region at that time. According to some accounts, a monument to the Sami was even erected in central Norway in the 20th century in honor of this, since that courageous uprising is still remembered to this day.
