About the title
The film takes place in New York in the spring of 2003. For Naina Kapur, winter never ends — winter of the heart, because ever since her father's death, her whole life has revolved around endless family conflicts. Caring for her sister and brother, helping her mother Jennifer, and dealing with her grandmother's unbearable temper — that is her life. Parties, fun, and jokes pass her by. She is 23, but at heart she is already an old woman — serious and dull.
