About the title
In the story, even before the Justice League is formed, Barry Allen is testing the limits of his powers and ends up thrown into the past. There he comes face to face with "old school" superheroes fighting enemies on the battlefields of World War II. With the Flash's help, they begin to resist the advancing forces while also trying to figure out how to send the hero himself back to his own time.
