About the title
One day, in the unassuming life of a student named Tsuneo, a girl appears who has spent most of her days reading and drawing. These are commendable pursuits, but even they have their explanation. The thing is, the dreamy Josee — as the girl calls herself, after the heroine of Françoise Sagan's work "Wonderful Clouds" — is confined to a wheelchair, and much of ordinary people's life is inaccessible to her. Thanks to his friendship with Josee, Tsuneo, who hasn't cared much about his own life, begins to realize the value of what he has. Meanwhile, the girl, not without the guy's involvement, decides that it's finally time to face the real world. Thus, without even noticing it, they help each other in their own ways, and eventually their friendship begins to take on different shades, which not even the sidelong glances of others can darken.
