About the title
Nazi Germany. A slightly shy 10-year-old boy, Johannes Betzler, a member of the Hitler Youth and a big fan of the official party line, has a best friend — an imaginary Adolf Hitler. Even though the boy himself still can't tie his shoelaces, he heads off for the weekend to a military-patriotic camp, where, unable to bring himself to kill a rabbit, he earns the nickname Jojo Rabbit. Afterward, trying to prove his courage to those around him, the boy accidentally injures himself with a grenade.
