About the title
The film takes place 8 years after the events of the previous movie, and since then Sir Johnny English's career has been in decline. Five years before the start of the film, he was sent on a mission to Mozambique, but the mission went terribly wrong. Since then, he has been living in a cave in the mountains of Tibet, hiding from everyone out of shame, regret, and blame for the failed mission.
