About the title
Humanity defeated smallpox long ago, once and for all. At least, the world has come to think so. But that's not the case. There are places on Earth where samples of the virus are still kept. Scientist Kenner has stolen one such sample in order to create a new biological weapon. American soldiers manage to capture Kenner, but he's willing to hand over the sample only after he and his family are taken to Norway. During a shootout, police officer John is shot in the head, and there's no safe way to remove the bullet. John is slowly dying, and he has only two weeks left to solve a mountain of problems: find the older brother he never knew existed, stop a deranged special-forces operative, and save the world...
