About the title
The Land of a Thousand Lakes, Finland, is known throughout the world. The film draws viewers into an unprecedented journey, from crystal-clear water springs to the boundless basin of great lakes. A new world of underwater nature will also open up before you, and you will hear and see many old and new tales about the land of a thousand lakes. These tales, in turn, are based on myths, legends, and ancient beliefs that are an important part of Finnish mythology.
