About the title
The Ivanovs are getting ready to spend New Year's in Egypt. But on board the plane they run into robbers trying to smuggle a ring stolen from a museum out of the country. A fight breaks out during the flight, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in Yerevan. With New Year's just around the corner and all the hotels booked, everyone is rescued by Hamlet's brother, David. It would seem they can now celebrate the holiday in peace, but the stolen ring accidentally ends up with the Ivanovs, and the robbers won't give up trying to get it back. Thus begin the Ivanovs' adventures in Armenia.
