About the title
To stop living in fear and torment of conscience, the Writer writes an exposé article about himself and his fellow writers for a samizdat magazine. From that day on he is in disgrace, colleagues and friends have turned away from him, and he is surrounded by a void. Every night could be the writer's last, as he waits for the man who will come to silence him forever. One day this man will appear and become the hero of his new and final book — which, alas, no one will read.
