At 16, Anna Sorokina from Domodedovo moved with her parents to Germany. At 22, she moved to New York, where she invented a new identity for herself — wealthy German heiress Anna Delvey. Anna became an Instagram star, infiltrated New York's elite, and turned to fraud. In 2019 she was convicted of theft of services (Anna lived in luxury hotels, dined at expensive restaurants, and didn't pay for any of it), as well as numerous attempts at grand larceny.
