About the title
The story is set in a small Slovak town in the 1990s, when the country was gripped by a wave of organized crime. At its center is a hot-tempered handyman named Lako, who struggles to get along with his shrewish wife and teenage son, obsessed with modern electronic music. When Lako crosses the local mafia, he narrowly survives and is left disabled. With the help of a new acquaintance, a Roma man named Gabo, the hero sets out on the path of revenge — even though he now has to pursue it from a wheelchair.
