About the title
For ten-year-old Chiara, every Christmas is a chance to see her beloved grandfather Lorenzo, the owner of a hotel in the snowy Alps. But this year her parents bring their daughter to her grandfather not in winter, but in the middle of summer. They ask Lorenzo to help tell Chiara that they are separating. And he himself isn't doing so well: he has to sell the hotel because of financial problems. The task isn't easy: how do you tell a little girl such news? So grandfather decides to give his granddaughter a Christmas when no one expects it. After all, this magical holiday can work miracles!
