About the title
Depressed Franklin has cut off all ties with his toxic father, Chuck. Unwilling to give up, Chuck resorts to drastic measures: he creates a fake online persona of a beautiful girl and starts chatting with his son. But Franklin falls in love with his online pen pal, and things take a turn that's both comic and appalling. Morosini claims he made this film based on his own personal experience — which sounds too crazy not to be true. Regardless, his cringe comedy took the top prize at the 2022 South by Southwest festival.
