About the title
Sloane loses her dream job in New York and returns to her hometown in Maine to pull herself together. She spends time only with her eccentric grandmother and her slightly crazy, paintball-obsessed friend Kay Kay. With the holidays approaching and Sloane needing money for gifts, she ends up selling Christmas trees side by side with Andy, her childhood crush. One fateful day, Sloane slips on the ice right in front of an oncoming truck. Her whole life flashes before her eyes, including a moment when her grandfather, dressed as Santa Claus, buries a bag somewhere in the center of their town. She also remembers that the bag was full of money. Where did the money come from? Why did her grandfather bury it? And most intriguingly — where is the money now? These questions kick off a fun treasure hunt, as Sloane searches for clues to the whereabouts of the frozen Christmas cash.
