About the series
Lyra Belacqua lives in a world where witches and armored bears exist, and people have daemons — beings that form an inseparable part of their personalities. The girl's guardian, the explorer Lord Asriel, finds a way to travel between parallel worlds, through which Lyra meets a boy named Will, who lives in a world devoid of magic.
