About the title
In 1969, pilot Jeong Tae-in disobeyed an order and did not fire on the engines of a passenger plane flying toward the northern border. At the controls was an acquaintance of his, who—like several others on board—was never returned home by the North. On January 23, 1971, Tae-in, serving as co-pilot on a flight from Gangneung to Seoul, finds himself facing a young man armed with hand grenades who hijacks the plane and orders it flown to North Korea.
