About the title
Henry Johnson, a modest and law-abiding lawyer, leads a measured life until his friend makes a fatal mistake and ends up in prison. Trying to help his friend, Henry takes a rash step using his firm's resources, and ends up behind bars himself. There he meets a cynical inmate named Gene, who opens his eyes to the brutal realities of prison life. From that moment on, Henry finds himself at the center of an absurd legal nightmare, where the line between truth and lies dissolves. In a desperate fight for his freedom, he confronts a merciless system for which justice is merely a facade.
