About the series
The series is based on the podcast of the same name by iHeartMedia, which tells the story of Melissa Jesperson-Moore - a participant on Dr. Oz's show. At age 15, she learned that her father, Keith Hunter Jesperson, is a serial killer known as the "Happy Face Killer." As an adult, Melissa changed her name to hide the secret and completely cut ties with her father, who is serving a life sentence.
