About the series
The plot unfolds across two timelines, in the seventies and the nineties. At the center of the story is an investigation into the deaths of two tourists, whose bodies were found one summer evening in the tent where they had been staying. Four very different people, who had not even known each other before the incident, suddenly become interested in what happened. In the end their fates become tightly intertwined, leading the main characters to highly unexpected changes in their personal and public lives. What will their story ultimately turn into? One can only guess. This does not mean the series can or should be directly compared to Kerstin Ekman's novel. Television and literature operate under entirely different conditions. There have been many attempts to adapt the book. It's hard for me to imagine anyone achieving greater success than Apple Tree Productions, Mikael Marcimain and this cast.
