About the title
In the near future, Major Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg, leads an elite task force known as Section 9. This organization was created for tactical intelligence, eliminating undesirable individuals, and investigations beyond the capabilities of the police. Motoko is assigned to find and neutralize a cyber-criminal known as the Puppet Master, who has begun actively interfering in the affairs of high-ranking officials. As she carries out her work, Motoko starts to wonder who she was in her past life, before she was turned into a cyborg.
