About the series
During excavations on Wrangel Island, a living baby mammoth is found, sleeping in a man-made cryogenic sarcophagus. The obsessed scientist leading the expedition decides to keep the discovery secret from the public and pass it off as the result of his own cloning work. The mammoth calf is to be dissected to obtain material for cloning and research. Young schoolchildren come to the mammoth calf's rescue after accidentally learning that it possesses intelligence. They help the mammoth escape and set off back to Wrangel Island to uncover the secret of its origin.
