About the title
Somewhere in Tokyo there's an ordinary-looking room containing a black sphere called Gantz. From time to time people who were supposed to die at that very moment are teleported into the room. The sphere equips them with weapons and special suits and sends them on a deadly mission: to kill the aliens who have settled on Earth, something ordinary people have no idea about. Not everyone comes back from these missions.
