About the title
The film is set in the 1870s in Arizona, where former soldier Merrick Beckford tries to forget a tragic past. Finding himself on the border of wild territories, he is forced to join forces with three criminals, a beautiful woman, and her wounded husband in order to survive amid the wilderness and constant danger. Their difficult journey begins after they accompany a medical wagon train that is attacked by a tribe. The situation grows more complicated when the group accidentally kills a tribal scout. Now everyone finds themselves in a deadly trap: besides the dangers of nature — scorching heat, desert warmth, and mountain passes — they must also face armed warriors thirsting for revenge. At every step, new threats await the heroes: betrayal, internal conflicts, and unbearable conditions, where a single mistake can cost a life. Merrick gradually transforms from a lonely and exhausted man into a true leader, capable of guiding a fragile team and making decisions where human lives are at stake.
