About the title
The romantic comedy Friends with Benefits offers viewers a simple, easygoing story based on the novella of the same name. Jamie is a young, beautiful girl whose boyfriend dumps her, telling her she's 'emotionally unstable.' After venting her frustration, she decides to give up on relationships altogether and keep everything bottled up inside. At the same time, viewers are introduced to Dylan Harper, whose girlfriend leaves him because he doesn't show enough emotion. As it happens, it's Jamie, working at a staffing agency, who talks Dylan into taking the position of art director at the popular magazine GQ. After accepting the offer and hitting it off with Jamie, Dylan starts spending all his free time with her.
