About the title
60-year-old socialite Frances Price's plan was to die before the money ran out, but that didn't work out. Her husband died 20 years ago, and the once-huge inheritance has almost completely dried up. With her last funds, she moves to Paris to spend the rest of her life in a modest apartment, away from public attention. Her company consists of her son Malcolm and the embodiment of her late husband — a cat named Small Frank.
