About the title
Ray is driving across the country with his wife and daughter. At a rest stop, his daughter breaks her arm. Ray rushes her to the hospital and, after arguing with the nurse at the front desk, finally manages to get the doctor to see her urgently. The girl is sent for an MRI, and Ray, thoroughly exhausted, falls asleep in a chair in the lobby. Waking up some time later, Ray discovers that his wife and daughter have vanished without a trace—along with the entry in the visitor's log at the front desk.
