About the title
Carrie is an ordinary city teenager whose life is turned upside down when she moves to her father's ranch in Wyoming. There she meets Flicka, a wild, graceful black mare who is just as freedom-loving and determined as she is. Her love for the horse helps her change her outlook on life and open her heart to her father and a young neighbor. But when Flicka's life is threatened, Carrie will be ready to do everything she can to save her best friend's life.
