About the series
August 2005. During Hurricane Katrina, Memorial Hospital becomes a shelter for a thousand residents of New Orleans. The five days after the disaster become a real ordeal for the doctors: due to the flooding, patients and townspeople end up trapped inside the building. The generators fail, food, water, and medicine are running out fast, gangs of looters take over the city, but the evacuation still hasn't begun. An adaptation of Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink's book "Five Days at Memorial: Life and Death in a Storm-Ravaged Hospital."
