About the series
Making the wrong choice doesn't make you a bad person. At least, that's what Bode Donovan was told. Halfway through a five-year prison sentence, he's been trying to convince himself of that too. He gets a chance to prove it by signing up for an unconventional prison-release program: in exchange for a reduced sentence, convicts are paired with firefighters battling wildfires in Northern California. The heat intensifies when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, the very place where all his troubles began.
