About the title
A kind surgeonfish who remembers nothing of her past but desperately wants to remember it and find her parents. Even as a young fish, Dory already showed signs of memory problems. Now, in search of her parents, she sets off on a journey full of dangers and adventures. Marlin is her loyal friend. She shares with him her worry that she has lost her parents and asks him to help her. Marlin agrees and they swim off in search. Having reached a school of fish, Dory grabs onto one of the rays, and a memory surfaces of how, as a child, she got sucked into a pipe. Encouraged by the start of her memories returning, Dory intends to continue the search, but Marlin doesn't want to let her go.
