About the title
Qin Fen, a forty-year-old bachelor who has spent many years in America, returns to China hoping to find a wife who is "modern on the outside, old-fashioned on the inside." He posts an ad on a matchmaking site and begins dating women seeking romantic love. Unfortunately, times have changed, and today's women of the Middle Kingdom have become quite pragmatic and unrestrained.
