About the title
Deena buries Sarah Fier's hand along with her body, and the past is revealed to her. Year 1666, the settlement of Union. Sarah lives with her younger brother and father, manages the household quite well, and has an eye for the pastor's daughter, Hannah. One night, young people throw a party by a bonfire in the forest, and Sarah and Hannah give in to their feelings; the next day terrible things begin happening in Union: food rots, a dead dog is found in the well, and the pastor kills 12 children. The residents decide that someone has cursed the settlement, and declare Sarah and Hannah witches. The third part of the trilogy based on Robert Lawrence Stine's "Fear Street" series of young-adult books.
