About the title
After Dominic and Brian went to Rio, robbed and toppled the empire of a crime lord, and their team collected $100 million, our heroes ended up scattered across the world. But their inability to return home and their endless life on the run left their lives incomplete. Meanwhile, Hobbs has been tracking a deadly organization of mercenary drivers across twelve countries, whose mastermind and second-in-command turns out to be Dom's love, Letty, believed to be dead. The only way to stop the criminal crew is to outdrive them on the streets, so Hobbs asks Dom whether he can assemble his elite team in London. The payment? Full pardons for everyone, so they can return home to their family.
