About the series
In rural Minnesota, criminal Lorne Malvo gets into a car accident. At the hospital he meets weak-willed insurance agent Lester Nygaard. Their friendship sets off a chain of violent crimes. Years before these events, in the town of Fargo, a married couple tries to cover up the murder of a local gangster — but alas, his death is not the last. In early 2010, Ray Stussy and his girlfriend decide to commit a robbery but end up entangled in a murder. All these dramatic events are tied together by the television series "Fargo," which blends the crime and black comedy genres. Its driving force was Noah Hawley, who in turn was inspired by the feature film of the same name by Ethan and Joel Coen, who also serve as producers of the series.
